Many values in one place

Read · 1 of 3

A list is a row of values

marks = [70, 85, 60] holds three values. Positions start at 0: marks[0] is 70. Negative positions count from the end: marks[-1] is 60.

len(marks) is how many there are, and marks.append(x) adds x at the end.
